only a 60 day trial?

The book itself is good so far, practical and applicable. I am mainly writing this review to warn students not to bother buying this book new. I read that it came with a disc, and that I should buy it new or the disc may be used or missing. The included disc is just a 60 day trial of MS Project, not even enough to get through the semester. Whether your book comes with the disc or not you will still have to figure out another way to get the program.

What Can I Say About A Textbook

Good book with lots of information. It's easy to read [for a textbook] and explains the topics pretty well. However, the material does get dragged out and is pretty dry. The rental price is pretty much the same as buying it used. I got it used and the book was in fairly good condition. It comes with a CD for a 60 day trial of Microsoft Project Professional 2010. It's not the best book in the world, but it serves it's purpose.

Would be a great book for classroom settings

This book was a semi easy read (until the last few chapters), I think it would be more enjoyable in a classroom setting, I read the book for an online course and at times was rather hard to follow. I would not suggest this book unless you were taking a class on Project Management and this book was required. I'm certain their are much easier books to follow if you are doing self-study.
