In some areas the book could stand to be updated somewhat since improvements to the RTM process and raw materials are frequently being improved since this book was first published. However, I would reccomend this book as a valuable resource to anyone manufacturing any type of component using the RTM process not just aerospace products.

Dave Barker-Plummer is a senior research scientist with the Openproof Project at the Center for the Study of Language and Information (CSLI).

Jon Barwise (1942–2000) was professor of philosophy, mathematics, and computer science at Indiana University and one of the founding members of the Center for the Study of Language and Information (CSLI).��

A worthless book you never truly own

First off, this book MUST be bought new since it requires a license to grade it. Every review's already stated this, so this isn't my focus.

The worst part about this book: no examples. There are very barebones samples of the absolute basics of each chapter, but it never really shows how to solve any problems. An "example problem" is usually nothing more than something like "P... Q... P ^ Q", which does nothing for you when you need to conclude "Large(a) biconditional (Small(e)^Medium(c))" from wonky premises. The software is so stiff and picky and NO examples from the book work out a complex problem using it. The examples are basically "If P is true and Q is true, then P and Q are true. Now here are some problems that require 20 subproofs each. They should be easy." It's not so much a textbook as it is just a massive problem set, and unless you have a wonderful professor that works out loads of problems, you'll not understand anything.

This book assumes you have already aced a course in logic. Of course, you'll only be using it in intro logic courses. It sucks and I'm sorry for anybody who has to use it.

Additionally, many universities provide a free downloadable copy. You're literally just paying for a license to submit homework.

The software for it is fine if bought new, but if
((have(you,bad logic instructor))V(take(you,bad notes))
you are almost guaranteed to fail the class; not to mention be unable to decipher the above fol
(more like fml).
All joking aside, thank Jesus my teacher is amazing and he gives us notes, because the book is nearly incomprehensible.

About the Author

Jim Bainbridge is a graduate of Harvard Law School and has been an active member of the California Bar for more than 30 years. He is a licensed California real estate broker, and a past recipient of a National Science Foundation Fellowship for graduate studies in mathematics at UC Berkeley. He is the author numerous works that have been published in more than 50 journals in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, and the Netherlands.

Mr. Bainbridge is also a member of the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA) and has received recognition as a Certified Distance Education Instructor by IDECC, which is a function of the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials.

Great Practice

I took the online ProSchools course and learned absolutely nothing. I bought this book and the exam prep book and studied it for a month, took the actual PSI practice exam ($20) then took my exams. I passed both the state and the national Real Estate exams on the first try. Worked for me! The exams question are similar and the content covered valuable. Just be aware that you will likely encounter at least 5-10% of the real exam questions as what I call "wild hair" questions. Meaning they are bad questions, out of left field. Just expect that you won't know everything.

Under the aegis of the late Jim Henson, here are nine stories that first appeared as The Storyteller TV series--traditional folk and fairy tales refreshed for a modern audience. Released now as an adult book, this appealing, abundantly illustrated offering is just as suitable for young readers. Minghella looks to a Tuscan proverb (``The tale is not beautiful if nothing is added to it'') for inspiration and, like Italo Calvino in Italian Folktales, adds to and alters the stories, most already available in standard collections--``Hans My Hedgehog'' and ``The Luck Child,'' for example. Some of his variations lack resonance on paper (the troll in ``The True Bride'' speaks in scrambled phrases like ``I'm founded dumb'') and distract from the prime-time themes of fear, trust, fidelity, etc. Most, however, are interesting even when they deviate from the classic story line (Hans has soft bristles and a devoted mother) and often enough Minghella's own language sets the tone: ``in a week with two Fridays,'' he writes, or ``Suddenly everyone could live forever'' or ``Beggars are never what they seem.'' Darcy May's 41 full-color paintings, rendered in a subtle palette, are elegant, expressive compositions faithful to the spirit of the stories and kin to several old favorites. Image for image, they don't quite match the spiritual quality and inner flow of, say, Nonny Hogrogian's (juvenile) The Devil with the Three Golden Hairs, and they lack the penetrating aspect of the (much longer) Segal/Sendak collaboration The Juniper Tree. So *that's* what the Griffin was saying!

Just so you know, all 9 episodes of The Storyteller are now out on a single DVD - something many of us have been waiting for for years. This book is, I think, the original screenplay of Jim Henson's Storyteller series because it follows *very* closely to the stories and dialogue seen on TV. The illustrations are also taken from the show and are very nice. The written word is different from television, however, and these stories take on a different light often in one versus the other, and there are some expansions here that didn't make the final editing cuts.
My kid and I love "The Storyteller" series, and this book is a pleasant addition for bedtime reading.

Almost Perfection

Perfection is the TV series that preceded this book. Of course, I must gloat and say that I knew all those many years ago that Anthony Minghella was the most exquisite writer I had ever heard/read. His words coupled with the genius of Jim Henson and company made for the best (no exaggeration) thing ever to be broadcast on television. To be able to read the words from these shows and have them readily available on your bookshelf is heaven. I've been recommending the TV series and this book for years. I still recommend it today.

One of the best pieces of magic ever written

Many years ago my family sat around the television, wide eyed and filled with magic; we were watching the Jim Henson Storyteller series. We waited and waited for it to reappear one day- to no avail. But FINALLY, a book! To be able to relive the "hugs and snoodles" of Hans My Hedghog, the stone soup tale of a "Story Short"- all of it beautifully, and creatively written, with illustrations to match- will take you back to your childhood. I find it hard to believe this has yet to be discovered. Don't miss the videos that are now out, at long last!
